Card Properties

Properties are the custom fields shared by every Agent card in your game — think Attack, Defense, Cost, or Element. You define them once in the Card Editor → Card Properties sub-tab and every Agent card inherits them.

Types

Properties come in two types:

  • Number — integer values used for stats and effect comparisons (e.g. Attack, Cost).
  • Text — a fixed list of allowed values you define per property (e.g. Element with Fire, Water, Earth). Each allowed value can carry an icon, a background color, and a text color.

You can define up to 8 properties per game.

The property list

Each property is a single row. Text properties expand — click the row to open its settings, and only one stays open at a time. Number properties never expand; their one setting, the card icon, opens from the icon at the left of the row (see Card icons below).

A collapsed row summarises itself under its name: the type, how many allowed values it has, and any roles it carries — for example Text · 3 values · Colors cards · Faction (max 2/deck).

Reorder properties with the up/down arrows at the left of each row.

Nothing you change here is stored until you press Save Properties. Deleting a property that your game already uses asks for confirmation first, listing exactly what will go with it — allowed values, card values, and any effects, combat modifiers or combat restrictions built on that property.

Required properties

Some properties are added automatically based on the game's rules. You can rename and reorder them, but not retype or remove them:

  • Combat properties — Power (single-property combat) or Attack + Defense (dual-property combat), based on the combat mode set in Details → Combat.
  • Cost — added when the summoning mode is Cost Based, removed when it's One card per turn.

Those are only their default names. Rename Attack to Strength and the game still uses it as the attack stat — the rules follow the stat, not the name. A required property can't be saved without a name.

Each row carries a badge saying which stat it is — ATTACK, DEFENSE, POWER or COST — so you can tell them apart whatever you call them. On a phone the badges are hidden, and the summary under the name says the same thing, e.g. Number · Attack stat · Required.

Card icons

Every number property can have an icon. Click the icon at the left of its row to choose:

  • Show on card — prints the icon next to the number on every card. It's off by default, so nothing changes on your cards until you switch it on. The icon sits on the side facing the middle of the card, with the number on the outside.
  • Icon — pick one of the built-in icons, or the Upload icon tile at the end to use your own (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP or SVG). An uploaded icon is drawn in one colour, like the built-in ones, so use a transparent PNG or an SVG: an image with a solid background comes out as a filled square.
  • No icon — clears the icon and switches Show on card off. Required properties don't have it, because they always have an icon: Swords for Attack, Shield for Defense, Zap for Power and Coins for Cost, until you pick another.

A custom number property starts with no icon (a dashed circle), and Show on card stays unavailable until you pick one. The icon in the row is bright when cards show it and dimmed when they don't, and the summary line adds Icon on card.

The property's icon also appears beside its name wherever the editor lists properties — the effect, combat-modifier and deck-filter pickers and the card form — and next to the value in a card's details, whether or not Show on card is on.

Like everything else here, a picked or uploaded icon is kept only when you press Save Properties. A match keeps the icons its game had when the match started.

Roles

Open a text property to find its Roles. All three are optional and off by default:

  • Effect property — the property also applies to Effect cards, not just Agents. Switching it off removes the property's values from Effect cards; if any exist, you're asked to confirm first. Agent cards keep the property regardless.
  • Faction property — decks are limited to a set number of distinct values. Switching it on reveals Max factions per deck (0 = no limit). Cards left blank for this property are neutral and can go in any deck.
  • Color property — this property drives card colors. Switching it on reveals:
    • Hide property on cards — the value is conveyed only through the card color instead of being printed on the card.
    • Default card color and Default text color — the fallback for any allowed value that doesn't set its own. Leave them unset to use the theme colors.

Only one property can be the faction property, and only one can be the color property. Switching either on turns it off on whichever property held it before.

Number properties carry no roles; their only setting is the card icon.

Allowed values

A text property lists its allowed values beside the roles. Each value row gives you:

  • an icon tile — click it to upload an icon (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP or SVG); the ✕ next to the row clears it again;
  • the name — edit it in place, then press Enter to commit or Escape to cancel. Existing card values follow the rename.
  • an In use badge when at least one card currently holds that value, so you can see what a deletion would affect;
  • a color swatch, on color properties only. It previews the value as Aa on its own background, falling back to the property defaults. Click it to set Card color and Text color, or Reset both.

Monochrome icons, above the list, recolors every icon to match the card theme rather than showing the artwork as-is.

Icons with AI

Each value row also has a ✨ button that draws an icon for that value with AI, based on the value, the property and your game's description. Each icon uses about 1 AI credit.

  • A value with no icon gets the new one straight away.
  • A value that already has one asks Which icon for "…"?: Use new or Keep current.
  • Generate missing icons under the list draws icons only for the values that have none, and never asks.

Generated icons are only kept when you press Save Properties. If you try to leave the editor with unsaved property changes, it asks first: Stay, or Leave without saving.

To add a value, type a name in the field at the foot of the list and press Enter.
