Packs
The Packs tab is where players spend their currency on packs and open the ones they own.
Earning currency
Play matches to completion to earn currency — the amount depends on whether you won, lost, or drew, and whether it was against AI or another player. See the Collecting tab (or its section in this manual) for exactly how much each outcome pays out in your game.
The Shop
- Your current currency balance is shown at the top of the tab.
- Every Pack Type the creator has configured appears as a card: its name, how many cards it contains, and its cost.
- Click Buy to purchase one — it's added to your unopened packs below. The button is disabled if you don't have enough currency.
- Click Contents to see what a pack can hold before you buy it: a table of its rarities and a grid of every card it can drop, each with its rarity and how many copies you own (players only; the creator owns every card). For a pack that rolls rarities by chance, the table gives each rarity's Chance per card; for a pack with a defined composition, it gives how many cards of each rarity come Per pack. Total is how many different cards of that rarity the pack can drop. Click or right-click a card to open its details.
- As the creator, each pack type also has a Preview button, which shows you a sample pull without spending currency or affecting anyone's actual packs — handy for checking a pack type's odds and card pool feel right before publishing.
Opening a pack
- Unopened packs appear under Your packs.
- Click a pack to open it. Cards are drawn according to that pack type's card pool and rarity composition (by chance, or fixed — see Collecting).
- The cards are dealt face down. Click a card, or press Space, to turn it over. Cards whose rarity has a Special or Epic reveal (set by the creator, see Collecting) come last. Their backs glow in the rarity's colour, and an Epic card builds up before it turns.
- Reveal all turns the remaining cards over one after another.
- Each revealed card shows its rarity, and New! if it's your first copy, or Max copies reached if you already own the maximum.
- Revealing plays sounds. The volume control at the bottom of the dialog sets the same volume as in matches.
- Close the dialog with Close or Escape at any time. Clicking outside it also closes it once every card is revealed. Cards are added to your collection as soon as the pack opens, whether or not you reveal them, and become available in the Deck Builder.
