Card Editor

The Card Editor tab is where you build everything on a card. It splits into four sub-tabs:

  • Cards — the library of cards in your game.
  • Card Properties — the property schema Agent cards share (see Card Properties).
  • Card States — reusable gameplay states cards can enter (see Card States).
  • Effects — triggered effects that get attached to individual cards (see Effects).

Creating a card

  1. Open Card Editor → Cards and click Create Card.
  2. Fill in the form. The card preview updates live as you type.
  3. Save. The card appears in the library and becomes available in the Deck Builder.

Card kinds

  • Agent — the main card type. Persists on the board, uses all your defined card properties, and can engage in combat.
  • Other kinds (spells, etc.) skip the Agent property values but still respect Cost when the game uses cost-based summoning.

Required fields

A card can't be saved until:

  • It has a name.
  • It has an image, uploaded from your machine or generated with AI (see below).
  • It has a rarity — and your game's rarities must already total 100% in the Collecting tab.

The editor surfaces these as up-front blockers rather than making you discover them at save time.

Illustrations with AI

The form's image section has Upload Image and Generate with AI (Regenerate with AI once the card has an image).

  • Illustration description (optional) says what the picture should show. Leave it empty to use the card name. Players never see it. Cards made with Create with AI start with the description the AI used.
  • The illustration also follows your game's title, description and Art style from the Details tab. Set an art style so all your cards match.
  • Each illustration uses about 6 AI credits; the line under the buttons shows your balance.
  • When it's ready, a dialog asks what to do with it. For a card with no image yet, Use it or Discard. For a card that already has one, it shows both side by side: Use new or Keep current. Either way the credits are spent.
  • Choosing doesn't save anything. Press Save Card or Update Card to keep the card.

Generating cards with AI

Generate with AI, next to Create Card in Card Editor → Cards, designs up to 5 new Agent cards for your game. The AI reads your game's description, art style, saved card properties, rarities, effects and existing cards, so the new cards fit in without repeating the ones you have. Save any property changes first: it only uses saved properties.

  1. Pick How many and click Design cards. The line under it shows the AI credits this uses and your balance.
  2. Review the cards. Each row shows the name, rarity and property values, and the effect if it has one. Most cards have no effect; at most two do, either one of your existing effects or a new simple one, marked (new), which is added to your Effects sub-tab. Untick any card you don't want.
  3. Click Add N cards, or Discard to drop them all. Cards you don't add are discarded, and the credits used to design them are spent.

Also generate illustrations is ticked by default, at about 6 credits per card. The dialog then stays open while the illustrations are made, showing each one as it's ready, and Done closes it once they've all finished. If an illustration fails, or you run out of credits partway, the card is still added without one; use Generate with AI on that card later.

You can't generate more cards than your remaining card limit allows. Leaving the page while cards are waiting for review, or while illustrations are still being made, asks first.

Unsaved changes

If you try to leave a card you haven't saved, the editor asks first: Stay, or Leave without saving. That covers opening another card, Create Card, Back to Cards, switching to another tab of the game such as Details, and leaving the page. Switching between Cards, Card Properties and the other sub-tabs keeps your changes, so it doesn't ask. Reloading or closing the browser tab shows your browser's own warning.

Attaching an effect

Each card can carry a single effect, chosen from the effects you've defined in the Effects sub-tab. Editing the effect updates every card that uses it.

Library workflow

  • Search by name from the top of the Cards sub-tab.
  • Click any card to load it back into the form for editing.
  • Delete removes the card and its property values.
