Playing & Matchmaking
Clicking Play on any published game — from the game page, My Games, or the Game Browser — takes you to matchmaking.
Finding an opponent
- You're automatically queued for the selected game.
- When another player is queued for the same game, you're paired instantly and both jump into the same match.
- While you wait, the screen shows "Looking for opponent…".
Playing against AI
If you'd rather not wait, click Play against AI. This leaves the queue and starts a solo match against the game's AI opponent (which draws from the creator's AI-enabled decks).
During a match
- The server is authoritative: every move is validated on the backend, and both players see synchronized state through a live channel.
- Effects that require confirmation show a notification modal on both sides before resolving, so no one misses what triggered.
- Leaving a match forfeits it, against a player or against the AI. That covers clicking Exit (which asks for confirmation), closing or reloading the tab, and navigating elsewhere. Your opponent is declared the winner, and you earn nothing for the match. A match can't be resumed after you leave it.
- If a player disconnects and doesn't reconnect within a short grace window, the match auto-ends the same way.
- A match left unfinished for a day ends without a winner, and shows Match ended if you open it again.
After the match
- Winners earn progress toward their next card pack (see Collecting / Packs).
- Analytics (games started/finished, unique players) are visible to the game creator under Activity → Analytics.
